About the Executive Council: |
|
The Executive Council consists of members who have volunteered to serve the organization in a leadership capacity. The general membership elects these individuals each year at the annual SkillsUSA-Pennsylvania State Skills and Leadership Conference/Competition. Any Active Member can run for the officer position each year. The Executive Council works with the SkillsUSA-Pennsylvania Board of Directors and the State Executive Director to plan activities and goals for the organization each year. While the positions do not pay money, they do offer a rewarding experience by the development of new initiatives and programs. We encourage all of our Active Members to run for office each year. If you have any questions about the organization, or have any ideas to help the organization grow, please contact any one of the Executive Council Members. |

Member Spotlight: |

Periodically throughout the year, we would like to spotlight one of our members who have made an impact in either his or her professional life and/or the SkillsUSA-Pennsylvania Alumni Association. |

Marilynne Hinkel: Marilynne Hinkel has remained involved with both the state and national Alumni Associations since their inceptions back in 1976. She graduated from Delaware County Vo-Tech and worked hard as a student in the V.I.C.A. (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) Organization. She continued her hard work in the Alumni Association by participating in the formation of both the state and national organizations. Throughout her time in both organizations, she has held numerous leadership positions. These positions required countless hours of time and energy on top of her job at the Kimberly Clark Corporation. In 1999, along with some enthusiastic Alumni members from Erie County Vo-Tech Marilynne agreed to help re-form the Pennsylvania Association, which lay dormant for over five years. She served on the first Executive Council as the Alumni Treasurer. She has continued her efforts on the Executive Council by serving as the Alumni Treasurer. Under her leadership, the organization continues to grow financially. She has worked hard in compiling a list of businesses that have a community partners or matching gift program. For the past two years, Marilynne has used her matching gift program at Kimberley Clark to generate over $2000.00 to the organization. These funds have helped by providing for our current programs and initiatives. Marilynne truly believes in this organization and the students it helps. We salute her efforts and what she has accomplished. We also look forward to what she will accomplish in the future. |

SkillsUSA-Pennsylvania Alumni Association Constitution: |
|
Every organization has a set of rules that govern the operations of the organization. While these rules may change over the years, it is important to note that the organization must change in order to meet the demands of its membership. Our organization has used a constitution since its inception in 1976. Our current constitution resembles the original, but the organization re-wrote it in 1999 to comply with the name change of the National Organization. |
